Tarmac

The open-pored nature of tarmac means that once plant debris gets into the surface and decomposes you have almost perfect conditions for moss to thrive.

Using a domestic pressure-washer can remove some of the moss but can also damage the surface very quickly.

Our equipment is designed for cleaning your paving without the narrow jet of water, it works quickly and efficiently, removing moss, algae, pollution etc. On tarmac surfaces we always test first to make sure that the surface is not too fragile for the process.

In most cases, the cleaning process uses no chemicals - only water. An average domestic driveway of around 60m² can be thoroughly cleaned in less than a day. When clean, your paving and property is rinsed to remove any splashes. Any resulting debris is bagged and removed.

An additional treatment may also be applied to kill off any remaining spores thereby slowing down re-growth.

Pricing is based on how many square metres of paving you have, how long the work will take and the complexity of your paving. For example 60m² of rectangular shaped paving will always be less expensive than 60m² of winding pathways simply because it's more efficient for the process.

We also offer maintenance programmes. These are proving very popular with customers. There's no contract, you pay per visit and have a price list at the start.
